Puppy Middle School PE

golden-retriever-by-laura-bergsma

This 4-week class focuses on helping our adolescent puppies become well-adjusted adults, by learning to play games, use exercise equipment, and practice appropriate play. We will work on tunnels, holding still, puppy pushups, balance toys, playtime, teamwork, and waiting one’s turn.

What to bring: high value, non-crumbly food rewards, 6-foot leash, harness or flat (non-slip) collar, tug toy or other favorite toy (optional). All respectful, well-behaved humans are welcome, but because of the active nature of this class, infants and toddlers are probably not a good fit.

What not to bring: choke chains, slip collars, prong collars, or shock collars. Please do not come to class with any of these devices.

Prerequisite: any prior reward-base training experience, basic skills like sit, wait, with me/heel.

Age: 5-18 months at beginning of class.

Health requirements: puppies under one year may participate but may not jump (older for some breeds) without written permission from veterinarian.  All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, or titer tests.

Location: petStop warehouse, Sehome Village

Registration:  Register via email or on-line form, reserve via invoiced pre-payment.

Cost: $100.00 payable by check or invoiced credit card.

Begins: Saturday, January 14th at 1:30pm. Runs for 4 consecutive Saturdays.

This session now full. Please let me know if you would like to be notified about future classes.
