Group Classes

Friends & Family Special

A different kind of class, with a curriculum designed especially for you and your group. While many dog training classes allow 6 or even 8 dogs in a class, I often prefer to have just 4-5. In fact, I can potentially run this style class with only 3 dogs; it is up to you and the group you bring. I generally recommend 4-5 weeks, and each week costs $100. Not per dog, but divided among your group. Basics and manners, obstacle course and basic or advanced skills, intermediate to advanced leash walking and heeling skills, or impulse control / wait /stay would all be very appropriate options — but perhaps there is something in particular your group wants. Want to wow a talent show? Let’s put together a 4 dog drill team with synchronized spin, down & over… Let me design a class just for you.

cost: $100 per class meeting, divided among your group (I can bill the group, or individually).  Example: a class that meets for one session each Monday for 4 weeks would cost a total of $400.00. 4 students = $100/each. 3 students = $133.00 each student.

Minimum 3 weeks and 3  dogs, please. Maximum 5 dogs, please.

this class meets at the petStop Training Space, in Sehome Village (map at bottom of linked page).

Indoor Obstacle Course

This 4-week class is designed to help our dogs and handlers work as a team, continue developing their trusting relationship, and get a good mental and physical workout. We will utilize some agility equipment, some exercise equipment, some household items, and our imaginations, to create indoor obstacle courses for our dogs. We will take turns running our dogs through the courses in class. Because this class will meet in a small confined space, it is important our dogs be fairly social.

What to bring: high value, non-crumbly food rewards, 6-foot leash, harness or flat (non-slip) collar, tug toy or other favorite toy (optional). All respectful, well-behaved humans are welcome, but because of the nature of this class, infants and toddlers are probably not a good fit.

What not to bring: choke chains, prong collars, or shock collars. Please do not come to class with any of these devices, or any other device meant to cause discomfort to a dog.

Prerequisites: some basics skills (sit, wait, with me or heel, or other similar skills), and any reward-based training class.

Health requirements:   All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, or titer tests.

Registration:  Register via email or on-line form, reserve via invoiced pre-payment.

Class size: 4 dogs, maximum

Cost: $100

This session of class will meet at the petStop warehouse, in Sehome Village. Bathrooms available in the store, but not in the training space.

Puppy Middle School PE

This 4-week class focuses on helping our adolescent puppies become well-adjusted adults, by learning to play games, use exercise equipment, and practice appropriate play. We will work on chutes & tunnels, holding still, puppy pushups, balance toys, tug o’ war, playtime, teamwork, and waiting one’s turn.

What to bring: high value, non-crumbly food rewards, 6-foot leash, harness or flat (non-slip) collar, tug toy or other favorite toy (optional). All respectful, well-behaved humans are welcome, but because of the active nature of this class, infants and toddlers are probably not a good fit.

What not to bring: choke chains, prong collars, or shock collars. Please do not come to class with any of these devices.

Prerequisite: any prior reward-base training experience, basic skills like sit, wait, with me/heel.

Health requirements: puppies under one year may participate but may not jump (older for some breeds) without written permission from veterinarian.  All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, or titer tests.

Registration:  Register via email or on-line form, reserve via invoiced pre-payment.

Cost: $100.00 payable by check or invoiced credit card.
